Integrate O&O BlueCon into Windows

You can add O&O BlueCon to the boot menu of a PC. The PC can then start the recovery environment without a USB drive, as long as its disk and boot manager still work.

Prerequisites: O&O BlueCon is installed and licensed on this PC.

Add the boot menu entry​

  1. Start O&O BlueCon.
  2. Click Integrate the application directly into Microsoft Windows.
  3. Wait until the media creator reports Successfully integrated!.

O&O BlueCon copies the recovery environment to the PC and adds an entry to the boot menu. It also changes the boot menu so that it is shown at every start for 5 seconds; the previous settings are saved.

Start O&O BlueCon from the boot menu​

  1. Restart the PC.
  2. Select O&O BlueCon in the boot menu.

Remove the boot menu entry​

  1. Start O&O BlueCon.
  2. Click Reset boot menu.
  3. Confirm the question Do you want to remove O&O BlueCon from the boot menu?.

The entry is removed and the previous boot menu settings are restored.

No replacement for a boot USB drive

The boot menu entry only works while the disk and the Windows boot manager of this PC are intact. Keep a boot USB drive for the cases in which the PC does not get as far as the boot menu.
