Editions
O&O BlueCon is available in several editions. The edition is part of your license; the media creator reads it from the serial number and builds boot media with the programs that your edition contains.
The editionsβ
| Edition | Intended for |
|---|---|
| Personal Edition | Private users who service their own PC at home |
| Corporate Edition | Companies that service a business PC |
| Technician Edition | IT professionals and service providers who work on many computers, also at their customers' sites |
| Site Edition | Companies that service all PCs at one location |
| Enterprise Edition | Companies that service PCs at several locations |
How many computers, technicians or locations a license covers is stated in your license terms. The O&O BlueCon product page describes the current offer.
What the editions containβ
All editions contain the programs for repairing Windows, regaining access and copying files (see Feature overview). They differ in these programs and functions:
| Program or function | Personal | Corporate | Technician | Site | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| O&O DiskImage β back up and restore drives | β | β | β | β | β |
| Network boot (PXE) β start computers over the network | β | β | β | β | β |
O&O DiskRecovery, O&O SafeErase and O&O PartitionManager are added when your license contains them. The Programs tab of the expert mode shows which programs a medium receives (see Choose drivers and programs).
No edition changes domain accounts or Microsoft accounts. O&O UserManager manages the local accounts of a Windows installation. See Reset a password.
Change to another editionβ
Boot media keep the programs of the edition they were created with. After changing to another edition, create the boot media again.
