Install and activate

You install O&O BlueCon on a working Windows PC. This installs the media creator, which builds the boot media. Nothing is installed on the computers you repair later.

Prerequisites: administrator rights and a PC that meets the system requirements.

Install O&O BlueCon​

  1. Start the downloaded setup file.
  2. If Microsoft .NET 10 Desktop Runtime is missing, confirm its installation.
  3. Follow the setup: accept the license agreement and choose the installation folder.
  4. Click Install.

The setup creates the shortcut O&O BlueCon on the desktop and in the Start menu. It opens the media creator.

Enter the license​

The media creator asks for the license the first time you create boot media.

  1. Start O&O BlueCon.
  2. Choose one of the two tiles, for example Create a bootable medium to use the application.
  3. In License information, enter Name:, Company: and Serial number: exactly as stated in your license information. Alternatively click Paste license information from clipboard after copying the complete license information.
  4. If the license window shows further tabs for programs with a license of their own, such as O&O DiskImage, select License is available and should be used and enter that license as well.
  5. Click Apply.

The window is skipped from now on, unless a license is missing or no longer valid.

Personalized licenses

For personalized licenses, the name and company must be entered exactly as in the license information. Otherwise the media creator reports the license as invalid.

Update O&O BlueCon​

Install a newer version over the existing one; the setup replaces it. Boot media you created before are not updated. Create them again to get the new version.
