O&O DeskInfo is developed by O&O Software GmbH in Berlin. This page lists the support channels and related resources.

Support​

Before you contact support, check Troubleshooting and the FAQ. Online help in the tray menu opens this documentation.

Prepare a support request​

Include:

  • The version of O&O DeskInfo and the Windows version from About in the tray menu.
  • The output of Copy info to clipboard: it contains the machine, operating system, hardware and network data that support needs.
  • What you did, what happened, and what you expected.
  • The log file if the problem can be reproduced: enable logging with LogEnabled, reproduce the problem, and attach %LocalAppData%\OO Software\OO DeskInfo\Logs\OODeskInfo.log. See Logging.

Review the clipboard text and the log before you send them; they contain the computer name, user names and network addresses.

Licensing​

O&O DeskInfo is freeware. There is no license key, no registration and no paid edition. You may use it on any number of computers, privately and commercially, and pass it on unchanged. If a copy came with an installer or bundled with other software, that is a violation of the terms of use; let support know the source. See Freeware.

Updates​

About in the tray menu shows the installed version and offers a link to check online for a newer version. The current version is always available on the product page.
