O&O DiskImage 23 Premium Edition User's Guide
This guide explains how to back up a Windows PC, restore data, clone disks, and prepare for recovery with O&O DiskImage 23 Premium Edition.
Start by choosing what to protect, where to store the backup, and when it should run. A backup plan keeps those choices together with the history and other options.
What You Can Do
- Back up an entire PC, selected drives and partitions, or individual files and folders.
- Keep a backup history with daily, weekly, and monthly restore points, or custom retention rules.
- Keep a second copy on another drive, a network share, S3-compatible storage, or WebDAV.
- Automate backups with one-time, daily, weekly, monthly, hourly, continuous, or drive-triggered schedules.
- Restore files, partitions, or whole disks, including from an available second copy.
- Work with virtual disks, including VHD/VHDX backups and supported Hyper-V checkpoints.
- Clone a disk when replacing or migrating a drive.
- Prepare recovery access using the local recovery environment or bootable startup media.
- Review reports and notifications to check completed operations and diagnose failures.
Where To Start
Follow Quick Start and Your First Backup for the first run. Then read Backup Options, Schedules, and Second Copy to adjust ongoing protection.
Before you need to restore Windows, prepare and test the recovery environment or startup media.
