Update Checks and Reports

Windows and application updates​

Pending Windows updates are queried on demand through Windows Update. Pending application updates are queried on demand through winget. These checks can take longer than local measurements and may need network access and a working update source.

If winget is unavailable or a query fails, read the finding as an unavailable check, not as proof that every app is current. Use Windows Update or your application's update mechanism to install updates, then refresh the findings.

Updating Windows or another application is separate from updating SpeedCheck itself. See Settings and updates.

Copy findings​

Choose Copy findings to place a text report on the clipboard. Paste it into your own notes or a support request. Review it before sharing because reports can include machine and process details.

Export findings​

Choose Export findings..., select a location and save the HTML report. Open that file in a browser to read or print it. Export preserves the current findings; it does not run a fresh check first.

If saving fails, choose a writable folder and check available disk space. Use the application version and the date of the check when comparing reports.
