Startup Sources
StartupManager scans nine sources. Use Sources or File > Settings to decide which sources appear in the list.

| Startup folders | Shortcuts in the current-user and all-users Startup folders. |
| Windows apps | Store apps that register a startup task. |
| Task Scheduler | Tasks triggered at logon or boot. |
| Services | Windows services configured for automatic startup. |
| Active Setup | Components that run once per user at first logon. |
| Explorer extensions | Shell extensions and browser helper objects loaded by Explorer. |
| WMI subscriptions | Permanent event subscriptions that launch commands. |
| Drivers | Kernel and file-system drivers loaded at boot; these are informational only. |
Visibility is different from startup state
Turning a source off in Settings hides it from the list; it is still scanned. It does not disable the startup entries in that source. The Microsoft-entry and unchangeable-entry filters also hide rows without changing Windows startup configuration.
User and computer scope
An entry may belong to the current user, the whole computer or another user. Whole-computer entries generally require administrator rights to change. The details area shows the source and scope so you can distinguish otherwise similar entries.
